The Staging Process
The process begins with a consultation. Each home is comprehensively evaluated from curb to back fence, and the following determinations are made:
- The seller’s timeline
- Home occupancy while on the market
- The need for rental furniture and accessories
- Length of time home has been on the market
- The age of the home
- The square footage of the home
- If Open Houses are planned
- Storage of unused items and furnishings
- The seller/agent’s opinion regarding what needs to be done to get the home market ready and expectations regarding the staging process
- The budget for preparing the house for sale – less than $500; $500 to $1000; $1000 to $2500; $2500 to $5000 or more
- Who will be doing the necessary repairs, changes, installations, etc.
- What areas of the home will be photographed (for possible use on this web site)
Homeowners/sellers will also be encouraged to preview comparable homes on the market – particularly model homes in the area – to enhance awareness of their competition.
